Lilia and Jesse were excited to be a part of this Alabama Hills winter inspiration elopement in Southern California. This session took place in late March. They didn’t expect snow, however, the scenery ended up being so different and more beautiful than what they’d seen online with the rocks and arches covered in the wintery weather. The only downside to this location in winter is that the dirt roads turn into very deep mud.

They hiked the Mobius Arch trail which is only 0.6 miles. The entirety of the short hike there was super beautiful, taking you through and above different rock formations until finally reached the arch. You can see the snow-covered mountain through the arch; it was the perfect spot for ceremony photos.

They did couple’s portraits all within the same area around the arch, as the views changed drastically just by switching directions. As the sun set the scenery changed spotlighting the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

After that, they hiked back to the cars. The couple found their wedding dress on Lulus. Lulus has really beautiful dresses made of good quality fabric for fairly cheap prices. Jesse wore a formal outfit he had already owned. Elopements can be super formal and glamorous, or very casual. This couple opted for a blend of formal but “easy” and wore shoes that could sustain hiking in the snow.
