Salt Lake City, Utah — Imagine stepping up to home plate, not with a bat but with your partner’s hand in yours. This baseball elopement with the Salt Lake Bees at The Ballpark at America First Square was something out of a dream. With sweeping views of the Wasatch Mountains, polished modern spaces, and a one-of-a-kind field experience, it is redefining what a wedding day can look like. Whether you want an intimate elopement under the stadium lights or a celebration for hundreds, The Ballpark blends playful nostalgia with elevated style.
I sat down with Natalie Colemere, the event specialist at The Ballpark at America First Square, to hear how the Bees are opening their doors to love stories. Find out what makes the space so flexible and unforgettable, and why couples looking for something different might find their perfect match here.
The Ballpark at America First Square was designed to be a community asset with year-round activation. Currently, there are no other event venues in this part of the valley that can accommodate 300 seated dinner guests. The Ballpark at America First Square is a beautiful new venue, and we are so excited to share it with the community.
There are a couple of different spaces where a wedding can be held at The Ballpark, but the one thing they all have in common is the beautiful and breathtaking views of the Wasatch Range and the new Ballpark itself. The Terrace Club offers an elevated and luxurious atmosphere, while holding your wedding on the field leans more into a baseball-themed experience.
The Ballpark is like no other venue in Utah. Where else can you have your wedding video playing on a scoreboard? We also have a 9-hole miniature golf course that is sure to keep guests entertained. Want your guests to participate in batting practice on the field? We can make that happen!
Besides the stunning views seen from all areas of The Ballpark, the staff is attentive and friendly. We truly want your day to be unforgettable and stress free. Our chef and bar service are top notch! The bridal room is set up beautifully with plenty of space and an abundance of natural light and electricity for hair and makeup. The groom’s room is perfect for kicking back and playing cards and video games, and it has easy access to our 9-hole miniature golf course.
We offer three ceremony locations. The first-base premium deck is the perfect fit for a covered outdoor ceremony, and it has ample space for the reception party and dancing. Home plate is the perfect elevated spot for a couple that wants a full ballpark-themed wedding. Most couples love the indoor Terrace Club for an indoor and winter option.
When it comes to the size of groups, The Ballpark has several different spaces that are available to suit groups of all sizes. Our club space and terrace decks can host hundreds of people, but spaces can easily be closed to give a more intimate feel for smaller ceremonies. We even offer picnic areas.
The experience you have is fully customizable. Our dedicated staff and event planners will make your vision a reality with quick responses and a commitment to making your day perfect. It is our goal to make your wedding day even better than imagined, with a wedding that is special and unique to you. As experienced event coordinators, we are prepared to make wedding days magical and personal.
The Ballpark offers a wedding video on the official scoreboard, a 9-hole miniature golf course, and both a bridal room and groom’s room overlooking the field. Couples also have the option to utilize the small UTA train for an activity or a send-off. If you love baseball, batting practice on the field is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Leading up to your event, we are committed to discussing every detail to ensure everything runs smoothly. We have a list of suggested vendors to make planning easy and simple. On the day of, we have a dedicated team member that will be present to make sure everything is perfect and to limit the stress on couples.
While we have several outdoor spaces at our ballpark, we also have an elegant club space. It features floor to ceiling windows that overlook the field and mountain ranges. It is the perfect space for a wedding and completely protected from the weather outside. One of the special things we offer in the off-season is our Holiday Lights show. Just imagine, a field and concourse full of Christmas lights, and your perfect private wedding in the club space above. It is a completely unique experience you can’t find anywhere else.
Couples are welcome to bring in their own vendors for everything except catering and bar services. The Ballpark has a dedicated Chef and Bartenders.

If baseball has your heart, a baseball elopement with the Salt Lake Bees will not disappoint. The team at The Ballpark at America First Square creates an incredible experience for couples and any guests they bring. It’s hard to imagine a better opportunity for sports fans in Utah.
For this inspiration elopement, we leaned fully into baseball and the Bees’ theming. We designed a clean, modern, and classy vibe, with Bees sprinkled throughout the details like the tie, cufflinks, earrings, and of course, the venue. Baseball itself was laced into the day in meaningful ways too. Over a few months, we worked with the bride, Hannah, to plan a surprise ring for the groom, Garrett. The two of them are huge Los Angeles Dodgers fans, so we tracked down game used dirt from the 2024 World Series and had Lashbrook embed it into a custom ring. Hannah gifted it to Garrett during their first look in the stands, and it led to the sweetest moments between them.
An elopement can be everything you want it to be and more. These types of weddings give you the freedom to create an experience that feels meaningful to you. Invite a few close family and friends, or make it a day or weekend just for the two of you at your favorite ballpark. The possibilities are endless!
