We loved the emotion that Brianna Parks captured during this Moody Big Sur elopement and surprise announcement wedding day. She had this to say about the couple and the experience.

Destiny and Stephan had only three requests for their wedding day.

1. It had to be in Big Sur, where they fell in love and would frequently travel to over and over again.

2. They needed to include their dogs, which of course, are family.

3. They wanted to surprise their family with a pregnancy announcement at the end of the night.

The wedding day went off without a hitch. It started in an Airbnb nestled in the woods. After some tearful getting-ready moments, a first look with dad and friends, and some morning jitters, I took Destiny and Stephan outside for a "first touch" before Stephan saw Destiny walk down the aisle.

We then headed to the ceremony space at Big Sur Lodge, a simple and beautiful space right against the river. During the ceremony, many tears were shed and laughs were had. Immediate family prayed over the couple after Stephan and Destiny exchanged special grape soda pins which resulted from an inside joke about the movie “Up” which they both love.

After the ceremony, we set out to capture their love along the cliffsides of Big Sur. We saw seals swimming in the water and took in all the views, watching as Destiny's dress progressively got dirtier and dirtier. Before returning to dinner, Destiny and Stephan said they were ready to tell everyone about their pregnancy, so we hatched a plan.

At their celebratory dinner, we handed out little gift bags letting the family know that while we were gone taking portraits, we stopped on the way back to print out some pictures for everyone. Little did they know it was a picture of the ultrasound. I don't think I've ever heard excited screams as loud as these. The happiness in the room was palpable!
