A First Look Prank
Melissa and Kenny traveled to Colorado from Texas for their Telluride colorful mountain elopement in the rain. On the morning of their elopement, they got ready in their cabin which sat along a river outside of Telluride. Once they were both dressed, they had their first look next to the river. As a prank, Kenny wore big fake teeth.
Jeep Trails to a Lake
They planned to take Jeep trails to five different alpine lakes, taking time at each to stop and enjoy the views. The lake they chose for their ceremony required a short hike and there were no other people in sight. After being together for over a decade and having two kids together, their ceremony was emotional and beautiful. They ended their ceremony with a hand-fasting ceremony and then sealed it with a kiss.
Rain on your wedding day
As if the weather had been purposely waiting, as soon as their ceremony ended, it started to rain. Instead of having a picnic along the edge of a lake, they ate their sandwiches in the back of their Jeep.
In true Colorado fashion, the rain eventually cleared up and we continued our adventure. They laid out a blanket to read letters from their families back at home and then ended the evening with the most gorgeous sunset.
