From one of our cover contest winners, Julia Goldberg stuns us once again with the return of this couple who graced the front of our second digital magazine. This time, we're taken through the gorgeous paths of the Valley of the Gods. The scenery, colors, the photographer's capturing of that beautiful wedding dress (which the bride wore perfectly) left us in awe. Here's what she wrote about this anniversary shoot.
Â
Kristin and Randy eloped one year ago in Sedona at Devil's Bridge. Now, a year later they wanted to meet back up for an anniversary shoot. While we originally planned on Monument Valley, we were told when we finally arrived that they had closed the park due to the massive rainstorm. Luckily I had spotted a dirt road that led off the highway about an hour back and decided we should go check it out. And wow what an incredible decision this turned out to be.
After about 45 minutes of driving along this dirt road in the driving rain, we got to a spectacular site. Massive mesas jutted out of the ground all around us. We were completely alone. And the rain stopped. It was fate. We wandered around this incredible area for a few hours. Stopping for them to have a little picnic and recount their first year as a married couple.
As the sun started to go down the sky lit up in unreal colors. There's nothing better then celebrating your love in the beauty of nature.Â
