Imagine starting your morning slowly. The sun is just coming up, your favorite drink is in hand, and for a moment, everything feels still. You take a sip and set your cup down on a resin coaster, one of those wedding flower keepsake ideas that turns preserved blooms from your wedding day into something you can actually use.
Across the room, those same flowers run through the center of a maple table, sealed in resin. On a nearby shelf, they appear again, pressed into a pair of bookends from your elopement.
These aren’t just keepsakes. They’re pieces you live with. Pieces you use.
That’s the heart behind the work of Bupp Woodworks and Designs. Tina and Trevor transform meaningful florals into functional art, turning moments from your wedding day into something you can see, touch, and return to every day.
Flower preservation and woodworking naturally come together in resin art. Both are rooted in the outdoors, making them a fitting way to honor moments that happened there in the first place.
With Tina’s expertise, flowers that might have been left hanging in a closet are given new life. Instead of fading, they’re restored to look as if they’ve just bloomed.
Encased in resin, their colors become richer and their details more defined. Hold them up to the light, and they catch it in a way that almost feels alive.
Each piece is the result of careful, hands-on work. Tina disassembles, dries, and rebuilds every arrangement before designing the layout and pouring the resin. It’s a process that takes more than 30 hours per order.
At the same time, Trevor focuses on the wood. He sands and polishes each surface to bring out the natural depth and character of the grain.
Much of their wood is locally sourced near their Illinois shop. Sycamore and walnut come from nearby mills, and some of their maple even comes from a tree that once stood in a neighbor’s yard.
Their work ranges from smaller pieces like serving trays and side tables to full kitchen tables. They’re also the original creators of the now-viral Wood Serving Trays and Flower Tables. These designs have taken on a life of their own online.
While Tina focuses on the artistic side of each piece, Trevor ensures everything is finished to the highest standard. Depending on the item, he spends anywhere from 6 to 20 hours refining the final product, making sure both the wood and preserved flowers are in their best possible condition before they reach their new home.
One detail he especially loves is the beveled edge. It adds a subtle dimension that elevates the entire piece without taking away from the story it holds.
Tina and Trevor have spent the past seven years refining their craft, and it shows in every piece they create. Each one is one of a kind. The full process takes about six months from start to finish, giving them time to focus on every detail and develop a real connection to the work. By the time a piece is ready to be delivered, it can be hard to let it go.
Their collection spans a wide range of pieces and price points, from full tables and serving trays to resin blocks in different shapes and sizes. They also create smaller keepsakes like ring holders, coasters, vanity trays, jewelry dishes, bookmarks, ornaments, necklaces, candle holders, letters, and pyramids. No matter where you’re located, they accept fresh, dried, and artificial flowers from across the U.S., along with clear instructions to help you ship them safely. Whatever you choose, each piece is thoughtfully made and deeply personal. It is a true labor of love.
