Desi and Hannah didn't want an extravagant wedding, but ensuring their two dogs could be part of their elopement was a must. As they planned their winter elopement in Breckenridge, Colorado, the only visions in their heads were of snow-capped mountains and lush greenery. Recognizing that the weather could be both their ally and an adversary, they randomly picked a Wednesday afternoon, crossing their fingers for the best.

The Day of the Elopement

The day kicked off like any other, but in the mountains of Frisco. They woke up, walked their dogs, and sipped coffee. Kelly and Sarah, the hair and makeup team, arrived to work their magic on the girls' hair. While working on their hair, they reminisced about their journey together. It was a reminder of why they chose to elope. They wanted the focus solely on each other, while making sure their dogs were involved.

Their photographer later joined them just as the finishing touches were being put in place. Once dressed and with the car and pups packed, they embarked on their adventure. With 'Best of the 90s' blaring, they arrived at a small frozen lake surrounded by rocks, green trees, and snow-capped mountains. It was then that they realized that the scene in front of them was just a teaser. Their true destination was Copper Key, where vows were exchanged. Their dogs watched their moms elope in a stunning gulch with snow-capped mountains all around.

The celebration didn't end with their vows; they drove up a local mountain pass, marveling at the breathtaking scenery. The further they drove, the more spectacular the view became. Upon reaching the summit, the realization hit us – ‘they did it, and we need to celebrate.' Bringing their dog up the mountain, they indulged in a champagne shower, raised a toast, and signed their marriage license with their pup as the witness.

After they spent the afternoon exploring the beautiful parts of Colorado, they capped off the night with BBQ and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. It was a complete and magical experience.
