Christian and Aly wanted something different for their day. They wanted to celebrate with loved ones but keep it small and have time for themselves as well. As they crafted their January day, it truly came together so beautifully. The weather was warm for winter and only had a light drizzle which allowed them to fully enjoy Plan A (Plan B being the rain/nasty weather backup plan) during their winter Oregon beach elopement.
Getting ready and the ceremony
Their day began with enjoying coffee while looking through their photo memory box, and reminiscing about their 7+ years together. Then they got ready separately with their immediate family and a few close friends before sharing a heartfelt first look. From there it was time to depart for their private ceremony, led by their sisters. Due to the winter king tides, low tide still meant they were up on the rocks of these Oregon beaches but that did not take away from this heartwarming private ceremony.
Private moments
Once complete, they spent some time on the beach before enjoying a private picnic on the cliffs overlooking the beach. Their sisters left for the vacation rental before they set off for another beach location to explore. This location had them walking through old-growth forests on the way to a cove with towering basalt cliffs. The moody PNW weather surrounded them as they took in the ocean and its mighty force.
POST-CEREMONY
On their way back, they chose a forest location along the trail to share their first dance followed by some fun celebratory moments together before returning to the Airbnb and their loved ones. Upon return, it was time for a few group photos before enjoying ice cream cake. And this was just the start of their full beach weekend to celebrate with loved ones.
